In the past 23 years, £3,391,733 million of National Lottery money has been invested in the Aylesbury area. The Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded more than 50 grants to heritage projects in the area, exploring local history, restoring parks and protecting wild life.
Now the Heritage Lottery Fund is encouraging people in Aylesbury to apply for grants between £3,000 and £10,000 to undertake projects exploring the impact and legacy of the First World War beyond 1918. This could range from the the role the war played in bringing universal suffrage to the mechanisation of agriculture and day light savings.
"The Heritage Lottery Fund has supported a number of good causes in the constituency already and i would encourage any local organisations who think they might be eligible to apply for these new grants."
